Til is the creativity social network. We’re building the destination for live interactive video, where passionate people go to connect, create, and have fun reaching their full potential.
We’re starting by building a social marketplace where creators teach fans in weekly live classes. There are more than 50 million creators, and most of them struggle to get by with their following alone. We’re changing that so that more people can make a living doing what they love. The average creator on Til makes over $500 per hour of teaching every week, and we hope to grow that number over time.
Since launching our first classes in late 2021, we’ve seen great traction and recently closed a seed round led by Craft Ventures with participation from folks like Ryan Tedder, Kevin Lin (Twitch cofounder), and Gokul Rajaram (Coinbase, DoorDash).
Your role
The Go-to-Market team at Til is responsible for the growth of our student and teacher base and expansion into new class categories.
As our first Community Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for growing our base of students to build healthy demand for our teachers. We are excited by creative opportunities to correct directly with our users through channels we own and shy away from paid ads. Success looks like supporting our goal of reaching liquidity in a given category, by bringing enough demand to teachers to make teaching on Til worth it. You’ll have an incredible amount of autonomy and ownership in this role.

What you'll do
- Create awareness and growth impact with creative campaigns through leveraging multiple channels including social, influencer, content, events, seller partnerships, and lifecycle.
- Test strategies and tactics to build the student-growth playbook at Til including leading attention grabbing stunts and campaigns that generate PR.
- Identify and pursue PR and influencer opportunities within your vertical
- Set the seasonal marketing calendar and define long-term strategies for delivering revenue growth and increasing brand awareness.
- Lead the Til social accounts, including owning platform-by-platform strategy, content creation, and content planning. Work with influencers to scale content creation.
- Measure and iterate on the effectiveness of community marketing initiatives.
- Build scalable resources and toolkits to help sellers better market their channels and grow their audiences on the platform.

You may be a good fit if…
- You have 4+ years of experience working in marketing with a focus on creating and owning brand stunts and campaigns that drove outsized impact in user acquisition.
- Experience at a high-growth startup, creator-focused platform, or marketplace.
- You’re a creative mind that will think out of the box to build compelling, exciting, and surprising approaches to driving interest and engagement in the Til platform.
- You’re a strong analytical problem solver that can use data to guide decision making while still leaning into your marketing intuition.
- You are scrappy and flexible enough to work in a fast-paced startup environment with limited guidance, and ready to change plans quickly as needed.
- You are deeply analytical and comfortable using data to make informed actionable decisions.
- Strong project manager who can excellently manage the execution of many parallel efforts.
- You’re hungry to win and enjoy the hustle, and you thrive in ambiguous work environments. Time is our most valuable resource, and to build something world-changing will require moving uncomfortably fast.

Nice to have
- Marketplace, live video, or social experience
- Experience launching and managing a world class influencer program
- Passion for creator communities and/or existing Til product categories (e.g. music production).
- You’re immersed in internet culture and can use that knowledge to identify trends, creators and opportunities for the Til brand to build and grow.
Our compensation philosophy
We target the 75th-percentile of the market for both cash and equity. When we make an offer, we are fully transparent about sharing the compensation data we use to set compensation. We think being objective and open is best for creating an equitable culture where we can stay focused on building something incredible.
